We were heartbroken when our friend, guitarist and founding member Tom Rhoton unexpectedly passed away.

Together we had played music for almost twenty years. Along the way we’d gigged hundreds of times including at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and at beautiful venues around the world. It could be our favorites though were at four of Tom and Robyn’s kids weddings.

Music was one of the joys of his life. Although he’d probably never heard most of the songs we played before joining the band, he was a Rockstar to us. Tom was the guy that showed up early, hauled gear, fixed the broken keyboard and brought over Perrier to replace the ones he’d drink at practice. We would laugh every time we got together.

For a bit we considered putting the gear down when we heard the news. We also realized he’d be pissed if we did such a thing.

We miss you our friend. There were many gigs yet to play. Life is precious.
