THE Band
Steve MortonLead Vocals - Bass
What do world-class front men/vocalists/bassists Sting, Geddy Lee and that guy from Nightranger have in common with Steve? Nothing. No seriously – we tried to think of something but couldn’t agree upon anything believable.
That being said, he’s not too bad of a singer. Covering the lead vocal lines for the band, Steve is a decent mimic. As a bass player, he’s considered an above average dancer. Ask the other guys in the band why he’s the frontman and, just like Steve, they’ll remind you who owns the PA, lights, trailer and home in which they practice. Steve is proud to serve as Brad's personal drum tech. |
Shane LeeLead Guitar - Vocals
Shane is an accomplished guitarist and vocalist and brings his own personality and height to Exit Strategy. The first time we heard him, we knew he was the guy.
Growing up in the middle of nowhere, Shane learned drums and then guitar while playing with his Dad’s band. That’s where he built his love for Country Music which he still plays in the eponymously named Shane Lee Band. He’s also a Spanish speaker and good spiritedly agrees to mispronounce the background lyrics in that Clash song. He has a solid reputation for showing up to rehearsal on time. We love that he’s agreed to share his talents with us. |
Brad WilsonDrums
Considered one of Salt Lake County’s loudest drummers, Brad is the only native Californian in our band.
Solid meter, dynamics, musicality, tuning, above average intelligence - those aren’t words normally used to describe a drummer. But he’s so good, we actually turn him up in our monitors. Brad's influences include Neil Pert, Steve Gadd and Meg White. He hates that joke. Brad reluctantly serves as Shane's guitar tech and is the best in the band at teardown. |
Doug MooreKeys - Vocals - Saxamaphone
Known to his friends as Mug Door, this talented vocalist and, "piano player" adds lead vocals and high harmonies that Steve can't or shouldn't hit.
This Seattle native has performed with Seasoned Amnesia, The Funatics, Fellowship of the Fridge and his favorite, "Whiplash, Cowboy Monkey." If asked, Dug could play every Eagle's song by heart but please, wait for the end of the show. A self described Saxophonist "performing at an 8th grade level," don't let him fool you. You'll get why we asked him to join when you hear him. |
Anthony SwansonSound Engineer - Social Media - Bass
Every band needs that special someone someone to make them sound good right? Well, we're still working on that but that's not his fault.
With years of experience of mixing bands and recording live shows, many of our fans say, "we've never sounded better." When not running sound, you can find him taking pictures of our best sides and running our social media, or chasing his son.
